Raymond Chik, Co-Founder / Board Member

Raymond is a serial entrepreneur, and has co-founded several semiconductor start-ups in the areas of AI compute, ASIC and Analog/Mixed-Signal IP design services and image sensors.
Beside Kapik, Raymond is also a Co-founder of Untether AI, a fabless AI chip company, were he currently serves as a Consultant.

Before co-founding Kapik, Raymond was at InVisage Inc., where he was a founding member of its chip design team and served as its Director of Mixed-Signal Engineering. Before that, he was the first employee at Snowbush Microelectronics, a premium analog/mixed-signal design services/IP company (acquired by Gennum), Mosaid Semiconductor (acquired by Synopsys) and the Quantum Corporation, where he worked on disk-drive read channel chips.

Raymond holds a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Toronto and is a Senior Member of IEEE. Raymond was also a founder of the Toronto Chapter of the IEEE Solid State Society. In 2022, Raymond was honored with the ACCE Best Startup Award.
