Peter Bormann, Board Member

An independent director of Kapik since 2015, Peter currently works as an intellectual property and corporate/commercial lawyer with Perry + Currier Inc. and Currier + Kao LLP, assisting knowledge-based and high-growth companies with a range legal items.

Prior to his work in private practice, Peter served as General Counsel at Redknee Solutions. He also founded his own start-up, worked as an investment banker, a military research and design engineer. While serving in the Canadian Army, Peter was stationed at the Land Engineering Test Establishment. There he managed several multi-disciplinary engineering projects ranging in complexity from the design of prototype equipment to the award-winning design, production and deployment of armoured ambulances for immediate UN duty in Somalia and Yugoslavia.

Peter received his Masters’ degree in Mechanical Engineering from Carleton University and obtained his LL.B. and MBA degrees from the University of Toronto. He holds registrations as a patent agent and trademark agent, as well as his license as a professional engineer in Ontario.
